Sunday Reflection : July 31, 2011

When Jesus heard of the death of John the Baptist,
he withdrew in a boat to a deserted place by himself.
The crowds heard of this and followed him on foot from their towns.
When he disembarked and saw the vast crowd,
his heart was moved with pity for them, and he cured their sick.
When it was evening, the disciples approached him and said,
“This is a deserted place and it is already late;
dismiss the crowds so that they can go to the villages
and buy food for themselves.”
Jesus said to them, “There is no need for them to go away;
give them some food yourselves.”
But they said to him,
“Five loaves and two fish are all we have here.”
Then he said, “Bring them here to me, ”
and he ordered the crowds to sit down on the grass.
Taking the five loaves and the two fish, and looking up to heaven,
he said the blessing, broke the loaves,
and gave them to the disciples,
who in turn gave them to the crowds.
They all ate and were satisfied,
and they picked up the fragments left over—
twelve wicker baskets full.
Those who ate were about five thousand men,
not counting women and children.

I always make plan on how to celebrate my B-day. But no matter how I planned it, mostly I wasn`t able to celebrate it the way I want it to be. :-( But, in any how, I make it sure I celebrate it to the best that I could.

But God is really good, He don`t want me to be sad the whole weekend. Ate Lala visited us at home since our brother is there, because he is schedule to take exam in La Salle by Saturday morning. To my sweetness, I asked my ate to treat me and kuya Nono to watch Harry Potter... though she don`t have the option to say No... for it`s to seldom for us to be with our only brother... winner!

By Blessing... and this is the first time that the three of us watched movie together... Happiness!!!

Surprised B-day bash for Boss

Our group plan this surprised B-day bash for our Executive Manager, Mr. Nakashima, a week ago, since I`m the only beautiful gurl in the group, I`m the in-charge with the preparation, and I`m so excited doing all the stuff.

We talked about what the gift we`re going to give, we want it something unique, so our first choice is, we`re going to give him a small statue of himself, cartoon personalized statue, but sad to say, we`re not able to pursue this because it`s not already available in MOA. So, we decided to give him polo shirt instead, and an organizer notebook as my personal gift, since the synthetic coating of his organizer are already fill-off.

For our food, we have pacint canton form Ms. Angel, chicken bucket of KFC, coke and of course we have cake from Red Ribbon, choco mocha crunch flavor, and the b-day boy got a hard time blowing the magic candle. ( hehhehe ).

Happy birthday Mr. Nakashima, more years with us. We love you ^_~

Sunday Reflection: July 10, 2011

Mathew 13:1-23

On that day, Jesus went out of the house and sat down by the sea. Such large crowds gathered around him that he got into a boat and sat down, and the whole crowd stood along the shore. And he spoke to them at length in parables, saying: “A sower went out to sow. And as he sowed, some seed fell on the path, and birds came and ate it up. Some fell on rocky ground, where it had little soil. It sprang up at once because the soil was not deep, and when the sun rose it was scorched, and it withered for lack of roots. Some seed fell among thorns, and the thorns grew up and choked it. But some seed fell on rich soil, and produced fruit, a hundred or sixty or thirtyfold. Whoever has ears ought to hear.”

The disciples approached him and said, “Why do you speak to them in parables?” He said to them in reply, “Because knowledge of the mysteries of the kingdom of heaven has been granted to you, but to them it has not been granted. To anyone who has, more will be given and he will grow rich; from anyone who has not, even what he has will be taken away. This is why I speak to them in parables, because ‘they look but do not see and hear but do not listen or understand.’ Isaiah’s prophecy is fulfilled in them, which says: ‘You shall indeed hear but not understand you shall indeed look but never see. Gross is the heart of this people, they will hardly hear with their ears, they have closed their eyes, lest they see with their eyes and hear with their ears and understand with their heart and be converted, and I heal them.’ But blessed are your eyes, because they see, and your ears, because they hear. Amen, I say to you, many prophets and righteous people longed to see what you see but did not see it, and to hear what you hear but did not hear it.

Hear then the parable of the sower. The seed sown on the path is the one who hears the word of the kingdom without understanding it, and the evil one comes and steals away what was sown in his heart. The seed sown on rocky ground is the one who hears the word and receives it at once with joy. But he has no root and lasts only for a time. When some tribulation or persecution comes because of the word, he immediately falls away. The seed sown among thorns is the one who hears the word, but then worldly anxiety and the lure of riches choke the word and it bears no fruit. But the seed sown on rich soil is the one who hears the word and understands it, who indeed bears fruit and yields a hundred or sixty or thirtyfold.

Hearing the word of God is not enough, we must accept and understand it within our selves, must must nurture and live with it in our daily lives...

1on1 with Mr. President

This afternoon I had an individual interview with Mr. President, also with Ms. Jane our General Affairs interpreter. It's not really a formal interview, it's just a sort of conversation. The President just want to know what's in the mind and heart of his associates.

This kind of conversation has a big factor in promoting good atmosphere within the company. It's also showing yourself not only a Boss but as part of the TEAM. Reaching out with our people really shows that you care for them, not only because they are working with you but you treat them more than an employee, but like a part of a family. Listening to their concerns and letting them know that you are doing your best to considered things for the benefit of all, giving them more trust and reason to work hard for the company.

A tap on the shoulder from a superior, really counts...

A celebration of Life and death

We`re overjoyed when someone in born, and We wept for someone`s death.

Today is July 4th, a very special day in our family as we commemorate and celebrate Life.

July 4, 1996, when Papa dead. 15 years passed and we miss him so much. Though, if I would sum up the days that I`m with him, it would be less than 365 days. But the memories I have with him, is more than enough so I can remember him. His laugh and smile, the way he talk, his embrace and touch, his kiss on my forehead. Everything about him, everything with all his love.

Two years after...

July 4 1998, Andrea was born, the first Apo ( grandchild ), my first Niece. She is 13 years now. Smart and good kid. Stubborn sometimes (hehehe) but very loving daughter and sister to her younger brother Louise.

We`re so blessed to have Papa and we`re so proud for Andrea

Sunday Reflection

Mathew 11:25-30
At that time Jesus said in reply, “I give praise to you, Father, Lord of heaven and earth, for although you have hidden these things from the wise and the learned you have revealed them to the childlike. Yes, Father, such has been your gracious will. All things have been handed over to me by my Father. No one knows the Son except the Father, and no one knows the Father except the Son and anyone to whom the Son wishes to reveal him. Come to me, all you who labor and are burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am meek and humble of heart; and you will find rest for your selves. For my yoke is easy, and my burden light.”

Don't give up and lose hope for our Father is always with us, just have faith. As this song :

Lift Up Your Hands

Life is not at all that bad my friend, mmm....
If you believe in yourself
If you believe there's someone
Who walks through life with you
You'll never be alone
Just learn to reach out
And open your heart
Lift up your hands to God
And He'll show you the way

And He said,
'Cast your burdens upon me,
Those who are heavily laden
Come to meal of you who are tired
Of carrying heavy loads
For the yoke I will give you is easy
And My burden is light
Come to Me and I will give you rest.'

When you feel the world is tumbling down on you
And you have no one that you can hold on to
Just face the rising sun and you'll see hope
And there's no need to run
Lift up your hands to God
And He'll make you feel alright

And He said,
'Cast your burdens upon me,
Those who are heavily laden
Come to me all of you who are tired
Of carrying heavy loads
For the yoke I will give you is easy
And My burden is light
Come to Me and I will give you rest.'

Schindler's List

It's Saturday: have a break... watched movie on DVD!!! This movie Schindler's List was also shared to me , so asked for a copy of it.

A story of a businessman, a war profiteer and a member Nazi Party, saves thousands of Jewish people by employing them in his company during the Holocaust of World war II. Directed by Steven Spielberg.

This is one of the best movie with a great story I ever watched. I had a teary eyes while watching, feel pity to those people being murdered for no reason at all. But, movie makes me cry on the last part when Mr. Oskar Schindler have to leave and say goodbye to his workers, when the letter signed by all his workers and the ring they made secretly, it was made from the gold dental bridge of one of his worker, handed to him, and Mr. Schindler cried, realizing he could saved more by selling his car, his badge or any of his valuable things...

No doubt why this movie is a box office hit and won numerous awards. The film really worth it.
