GT:Where'd my Money go

This is also my biggest question to myself. I'm earning for myself only. My family didn't bother me about my earnings. It's up to me, if I will share or not. My only obligation at home is the internet bill.

As I checked my account, I don't have much savings. I think, aside for the two personal gadgets and some going out expenses, It goes to my travel going home at the province, I went home trice this year. Not bad at all, I was able to be with my family, even in short days compared with the other years. And for this Christmas until New year I'll be home again.

I'm really hoping, for next year, I can save more.

Sarung Banggi

This is a yearly activity of Burugkos, Inc. It was started last December 2009. The members of this organization is mostly Gubatnons.

Sarung Banngi- means "one night". This is a mini concert featuring local band and local singers from our town Gubat, Sorsogon. The proceed of this event will be use by the organization on their projects. For this year, it would be for environmental management workshop of Burugkos, Inc in coastal barangays in Gubat, Sorsogon; capacity building seminars, Career Orientation Program for high school students, Rizal Day Clean-up 2012 and other projects.

Our batch, Dos Mil Uno, look forward for this every December. This event become one of our get together for December. One night of fun together with the other Gubatnons. But, sad to say, I will not be able to attend tonight. My sister also has an schedule, so, I'm the one who will look for the kids and stay at home. ;-(

Anyways... enjoy everyone, have fun and congratulation Burugkos, Inc. Well done Job!!! More power!

GT; Something Old

This was happened in very unexpected time and really coincidence. By Fate!

Last year, as we start preparing our hosting for the Grand Alumni. I'm the one in-change of gathering all my classmates who is here in Manila. Sending them messages, calling them all, informing them about the event. We have this one classmate, that almost everybody asking about him. He is Noel, alias "PATONG". But unfortunately, we're not able to get any new information about him, we're not able to contact him even during and after the Alumni last June.

But last September 30, we're having girls night out. Me and three of my highschool friends. We watched the movie, "No other Woman" at Festival Mall, Alabang and have dinner after. Before going home, the four us go to comfort room, Mhean is the one finished first and go out. Then, when we're all out.... Mhe said, "Ate Gherl... parang si Patong ung nakita ko na pumasok sa male CR". Then the three of us in chorus "hindi nga". Though, Mhe is not really sure, but she said, she is very particular with the face. So, what we did. We waited outside of the Male CR, just to know and to be sure if it's really Patong or not.

Then the guy came out. Long hair in ponytail, and it's really him. OGM!!! Patong himself. But the funny side is, he didn't recognized us. It takes a minute before he remember the name of Ate Mich, and for Me, Mhean, and Marie, he just remember some of our qualities and characters during high school, but our names,No... so we have to introduced ourselves. It's really coincidence and very unexpected because most of our get together before are also in the same place, but non of those days we bump him. After 10 years, he still the old Patong.

HYPER thing

Last Monday, we started our 2 weeks training for the new software we're going to use for design particularly in the analysis. And it will end on December 16th. The software is called Hyperworks. This software is really good. Really hyper as it was named!

Some things are common and familiar for me, but most are little bit different, and works opposite from the current software we're using. Manipulation is unusual base on most common practice. But, software can produce amazing and reliable result.

Our five days training is over, thanks God. My brain is quite exhausted, but I learned a lot of things. Things that are all new to me and others helps develop my skills. Another five days next week. More on hands-on practice. Deep understanding of software and, say... troubleshooting of errors.

I really have a great week. But for my weekend, I need to recharge. My mind needs to be refuel to be ready for the battle next week.

To travel again

I had this dream of traveling around the Philippines and after doing so, perhaps I could go around the world. Last year I conquered Baguio City. Last June, I went home in Bicol with my two friends. Now my feet is kind of itchy going some adventure again. But due to some event that has planned already. There is no enough time to make it before the end of year.

Ilocos, Bohol and Cebu are the places on my list I want to be my next stop. Of course, I need to drag my friends to come with me... It`s more fun to travel with friends than myself alone.

I need also to be very careful of my expenses especially this holiday season so that I have enough budget for this one, Little sacrifice on some vices (hehehe) for my big dream.

Plan I want to pursue

I`ve chat with my friends just the other day. I asked them if we could have get together before our Christmas vacation. Sort of Christmas party for us. We all agreed to have it on December 16, since it`s the day that most of us are available.

I know, month of December is always the busy one for all, especially for those people who are working. But still, I`m hoping that the whole barkada will find time to pursue this plan. Personally, I really want, I miss hanging out with them.

Here now, digging myself, to find some options, we could try aside for Alabang hangout. Although, swimming has been suggested (by me... hehehe ) during our conversations. I`m thinking of other activity that has less preparation to do, since all of us is working. And I think food trip is fun and best option that we have. I need to find good place for it. Hope this glass would be full of all our names! Aja... Gherl :-)

Kuya and I

I only have one brother. Kuya Nono as I called him, but his real name is Erwin. Kuya and I have so much in common. We`re both have black color compared with our other siblings. Aside from the physical aspect that most siblings have (see the evidence on the picture), we have also common interest on things. We both love reading books. Type of movies want to watch, foods to eat and more. I must say, Kuya have much influence to me as of to my 5 older sisters.

He will be here in Manila tomorrow for his confirmation schedule in DLSU, as he inform me on his text, and he is asking me to come with him. As always, I will. I can say "NO" to my sisters a times, but to Kuya, I can`t. I always find ways for him. Maybe because of, he is the only one.

I was thinking to have some bonding with Kuya after his appointment. I`m planning, if we could go for a bar hopping, or watch a movie. I know Kuya would love this also. It`s our time also to catch up things for both. Hope, he has enough time to stay, because the last time he has been here, he has tight schedule that he is needed to go back right after his appointment.

I`m wishing him goodluck for his schedule and for his plan of taking his Master's degree at DLSU. I know he can make it, for he is the best.

Ready for Christmas

We`re lucky in our company because we don`t have work schedule during Christmas. For this coming holiday our off is from December 24th to January 2nd. Enough time to enjoy the Christmas spirit and also vacation galore.

Since, it`s Christmas, I always wanted to spend it with my family, like most others do. As early as September, I started planning. First, thing I always considered is my travel, if by land or by air and of course, I don`t want also to miss a single event here in Manila before going home, especially our company Christmas party.

Yesterday, I have already my plane ticket for Dec 24 flight going to Legazpi. I choose to travel by plane, aside for time hassle free, I can attend to our Christmas party in full time, unlike last year I leave the party earlier, because I need to be on the terminal bus on time.

I`m pretty ready for my Christmas vacation, Although, gifts are not yet wrap, I was on my time table schedule, doing all the things that is needed. I have to travel light since I`m going home alone and for hassle free.

GT:New and 1st time

There are lots of funny crazy things happened in my life this year of 2011. But most of them are not new... say, just same old stories :-).

Some new and 1st :

I got my hair curly even for just one day. And take note, it took a lot of self convincing power for me to do this.

After 10 years, I was able to attend on our High School Grand Alumni Homecoming. It`s really a fun event to be reunited again with my old friends.

Be a source of LOVE

Everyone wants to be loved. Every heart wishing to be filled with love. But for some reason we don't acquire this kind of feeling. Feel that our heart is empty, and worse is, think that nobody or even just one cares about it.

But, why not, instead of wishing and wanting it from others to give us. Start it with our self to happen... make the first step. Like that you wish for it, other may do the same. Be the first to reach out.

There will be an instance in our life that we feel lack of love, which is not true, love will always be in our heart, because it's the way it was design, perhaps we need to do a little experiment... seize your heart, and ask, if it was capable of being the source of love for yourself and to extend it to others, even to those whom you think, they don't deserve?

Being able to be the source of love, we are leading our self to get the love we desire. Be reminded... Give and you will receive.

I'm okey same with I'm not

Disapproval of others is one part of life that everybody has to deal with. Words and thoughts from other people, both okey and not, favorable on us or its opposite, are all pure reminder of the old line that, we will not be able to please everybody at all time.

Each and everyone of us has our own ways and standard on how to look, think or to judge personality, ones work, ability etc..., I may think like this, but others may think the other way around. And somehow we go against this reality. We got angry, hurt and feel disappointed when others rejected us on some ways or give us their disapproval.

Acceptance is the best way to overcome this situation, though, it really needs persistence and self-contol mind, the sooner we could accept this fact, that not everybody would be saying "YES", "GOOD"... the more it would be easier on our part.

Busy Saturday

Wow... busy Saturday!!! but not the way you think and for sure not same like others who are really busy doing all stuffs they have. I was busy the whole day with the book I'm reading. Stock on my room after my breakfast, not knowing the hours passed and forgot to have lunch on time.

I'm hooked on "RELENTLESS" of DEAN KOONTZ. A thriller novel with humor. Full of life meaning and realization. A book worth to read.

The past weekends, I'm some kind of null going out. I engaged most of my whole weekend at my room reading novels. I'm not a bookworm, but I really love reading... I feel relaxed and stress free ;-)

SleepLess night :-(

I don`t have a big day yesterday, I just went out in the afternoon to attend 5 o`clock mass. And went home right after, and have my book again I`m reading the whole day. I fall to sleep while I`m reading, maybe I got more that an hour sleep. When I woke it was around 8:15 in the evening, I go down to the kitchen for some food, though I not really hungry, I just have a glass of juice and went up again to my room and continued reading, already passed 11 pm when I decided to turn off the light and go to sleep. I know very well that more than hour already passed but still I`m a wake I couldn`t really find myself go to sleep. It was already around 1:30 am at my watch when I get off my bed turn on the light and read again hoping that maybe I would fall sleep by then. But, I didn`t happened, 2:30 am I turn off the light again, close my eyes as if I`m sleeping and wait until my 5:00 o`clock alarm rings, and It does...

What a sleepless night. I don`t really know why. Though, I still have energy for the day but I don`t know how war it will go because I really fell restless. As they say, If you can`t sleep, other/s is thinking of you or talking about you. If this is true, hope they`re done last night so I could have a good sleep later.

KARABAW :-)

Karabaw ( bicol ) , Kalabaw ( tagalog), Carabao ( English), this is not new, everyone knows what is Carabao. But since, I`ve been in Manila, it really fascinates me seeing those usual things during my childhood, and Carabao is one of them. This photo was taken the last time I`ve been in Bicol, we saw it on the road on our way going to town. We owed one before, and riding on Carabao`s back is one of our ( me and Ate Nene) favorite and it`s the most happiest moment of our life then. Also, if not on Carabao`s back, we really enjoy and love to ride on the "Pakamang"... hahaha...

Pakamang is a Carabao drawn, like a cart, but don`t have wheels. This is common used by farmers were they put the sack of rice, or coconuts during harvest season. "Pakamang" came from the bicol root word "kamang" which means crawl...

Things would be different :-(

We grief if we lost someone dear to us, yet we should not be sad, for we know they are already in God`s hand

October 31, when Papa Jaime passed away, youngest brother of my Mom, and my closest uncle, he take the role as our father since Papa died. Though, God already prepared us for this soon to come, as he was diagnosed of cancer last year. For almost one year, Papa Jaime, really fight for cancer, he undergo operation and sessions of chemotherapy... perhaps, it`s really his end. It`s Gods plan for him.

Things would be different without him, the Big house would not be the same not seeing him in the balcony, as we approach... welcoming us with his smile and warm hug... and all this things, would be totally sense when I go home this Christmas... I will really miss him.

Done with the New Two

For more than two years working with my current company. I can`t say that I already have a big accomplishment because I know I still have lots of things to study. If we`re going to talk about skills of individual associates when it comes to our software we`re using, I`m one with the least compared with the associates that only have more than one year tenure.

But, personally, I`m very happy for what I`ve accomplished. I may have the most least skills, but I`m been part on how other associates gain their skills. I feel proud for myself, not for boast, but it`s a nice feeling that somehow, you`ve been part of individual growth.

This week, I finished my training for the new two associates. I officially turn over them to my seniors and they are ready to start with their official job schedule.

Back to Kitchen

I`m not really good at the Kitchen. But I enjoy cooking. If I have to take up extra course, my first choice is culinary.

Last weekend, I owned the kitchen for two days. Because most of the time, Ate do the cooking. I wake up food is ready, same thing when I arrived home.

For more than a month, I`m back to kitchen. Although I just cooked common dish that most often serve at home. I do tinola, chicken and pork adobo, Pork chop but menudo style, Chapsuey and Ampalaya vegetable.

My 1st driving lesson

One of my aim for this year is to learn how to drive. But going to driving school is quite expensive and only for a limited and short period of time. I`m crossing my fingers, really hoping to have this before end of this year.

Today, I had my first driving lesson. Seat belt first. Check hand breaks. Basics on how to use the clutch, brake and the accel pedal. How to change gear, from the neutral up to reverse. Used of side mirrors. More on theory, but I learned and got an idea about driving. Makes me more excited.

Disappointed

If the intention of reasoning out is to defend me, I really appreciate, yet I totally disagree on its context. Because for me, things that failed prior, should not be blamed or used as a reason on things that not being done... because it will turn to a total pathetic alibi.

Yes, it mention clearly... "just to defend and to explain", the question is, does the person your are addressing wants or asking an explanation for it? Does the issue has a concern on what was scheduled on the past months, or it has only have to do with is the present and the upcoming loads?

Sometimes, giving example is the best way to explain things, but make it sure to connect it clearly and justify it very well, especially when names are being cited. Because if not, you will be totally misunderstood.

I`m not mad, because my name has been mention, but I was totally disappointed on how it`s being explained. Yes, I it`s true that the task given to me, early of this year, has not been successful, because of some technical problem, that I wasn`t able to solved, and because of the limited resources that I have. But I gave my 100 % effort to come up with the best result. I feel numerous pressure, and personal things been drag of, put at stake and now lost already, though I know work and personal should always be separated, and I`m not directly pointing it, but honestly it does and sometimes it`s too difficult to put boundaries between the two when you feel too much pressure and you just want to have some comforts. And as it was explained and used as reason on why other things are not being done, it sounds to me, that all those months that I`m working with that particular task, was a total waste of time. Given, it was not established, but for me, it should not be used as a reason why other things were not given attention. Because, say, task given to me has been successful, what would be your the reason now???...

If I misunderstood things, I`m sorry... maybe explained things better next time. In my full understanding, the issue is for all, maybe it give more emphasis on me but it`s not all about me, or any in particular, in short no one is excepted, regardless of the position and skills... because even the experts have to know new things about their fields. And for me, it is much better to do a concrete plan on how to deal with the issue, than do explaining!

Things Faded

Every now and then, we make decisions, we have our choices.

And every decisions we make, every choice that we have, has

an inevitable consequences a head, it may favor us or it

When things go wrong and hurt us, we want to closed it immediately.

We tend force ourselves to forget everything, but end up

getting worst, and mess us up more. Forcing ourselves to forget,

is not necessary because eventually, things faded at a time.

GT:BALIG-ANG

For sure not everyone knows "BALIG-ANG". Because just this week we`re on the shuttle, when I mention it, then they laugh and tease me, if I belong on some tribe like in the AMAYA teleserye.

Actually, it`s Lipote (Syzygium curranii) a fruit species. But often called by the locals as BALIG-ANG OR IGOT. It`s a native fruit here in the Philippines, and it is more common in my own province, Bicol. This is a tree bearing fruit, the tree is almost same size with the Pili and Mango tree. But, Balig-ang fruit is in cluster, in small round shape, at first it was white in color and it turns to dark purple when already ripe.

The best way eating Balig-ang is, put it on a tupperware add some salt and sugar, then shake it, until juice extracted blended with the salt and sugar, and it`s called "NILUNG-GONG". Weird right?.... hahahah

Bloopers

Life really amazing. I`m emotionally at stake last Saturday, I don`t want to stay at home, and just be at my room. So, I drag Mhean to go out just to chill and get used of the time. Mhean arrived minutes earlier at National, the moment saw her and I go inside the store, I`m already in tears, good that I have eyeglasses it wasn`t obvious. When she give me a hug, my eyes totally broke... what I deed is I make a little hops, just to shift the intensity of my emotion, and some people eyes already on me, but then I feel better!

We both agreed to watch movie, instead to have a bottle of beer. Going up to the movie theater, Mhean is chatting with me, that everything will be okey, I don`t have to think it much... blah blah...then suddenly I stepped on unflat tiles and I almost lose my balance, lucky that I`m holding at mhean`s arm that makes me not fall, but the best bloopers is, my sandals been ripped off... it was embarrassing, but it make us really laugh, and it makes me feel good, great,even...

Abduction

What if your entire life was a lie?

Last week I`m really clamoring to watch this movie. Hooorrray, it`s been to life last Saturday and I`m with my friend Mhean. We hit the last full show at Festival mall.

Mhean and I both love and like Taylor Lautner, his gorgeous body but what we like to him most is his eyes. Abduction is an action film with a drama on its content. Simple story, but nice, worth to watch. I`m in tears on the last part of the movie, during the Father and son conversation on phone. Whom Nathan is to eager to saw his biological father, but for some reason it would be not be possible. ( I miss my Dad too...)

Break-up

Breaking up is difficult but it`s normal part of life. Everyone been through with this. There are times that we want to keep one person but on the sad note he/she are not really meant to stay the way we want them to stay for us. Even we want it so badly. In short period of time, we shared memories that makes us happy, others make us mad but all this is worth to keep... In breaking up, maybe for a moment there are things been compromise and put in complicated situation but in due time, when all things subsided and with good heart, it will be back on its normal phase. Ending the relationship, whether you are the "dumper" or the "dumpee" it doesn`t matter. Both will experience pain, maybe lesser and much easier for one, yet heartbreak still there... but both will survive.

Air Fair :-(

Since Christmas vacation is coming I got in mind to have already my plane ticket going home to Bicol on 24th of December. So, I go for an online booking. But I was shock with the air fair price, it double its price since the last time I visited the site, I think it was just August. I`d rather booked it earlier, or during the last time I have my inquiry.

Now, I`m having a 2nd thought if I`m gonna take a plane or better go home by Bus. If I go by Bus, I can save half of the price, but It would be a 13 hours travel by land. If I take the plane, double the fair, but 45 mins air travel only and 2 hours travel by land i`ll be home. haiisst! Other thing I need to consider is, if by Bus, I need to leave by evening of 23th so that I`ll be home by Christmas. If by plane, morning of 24th or even in the afternoon would do...

I need to decide ASAP!!!

She is a friend worth to keep for a lifetime. And as she celebrate her b-day, I wish all the best for her. Happy life, good health etc... but most of all --->>> BONGGANG LOVELIFE!!!

Around 8:30 pm I received an email on my Lotus Notes with the subject "inquiry". I open it at once to know what is the inquiry all about... Just starting reading its content, I almost want to laugh as loud as I can. But I resist myself, for I`m in the office, and I know all of them would ask why and what I`m laughing at... and they would called me crazy... hehehhe

Though it`s just a short mail, like a note... just asking something. But I`m so pleased and overwhelmed, that after I read it, a big smile left on my face. I`m really touched... and I almost don`t know how and what to reply.

Talking about, returning gifts... I couldn`t asked for more. I`m happy that this person been part of my journey. This person may not be always here but will never be forgotten. I know from the fist time I saw this person... My heart already liked and loved the presence.

Mostly when we heard about the word "earn", we commonly associated it with money. How much we are earning with our work, how much we are being paid for a job being done. Happy to know that we are compensated well, not only that but also with an extra benefits that our company provided for us. We feel good with that, right?

But how about, aside from the money that we are earning from our work, we also earn respect from the people we`re working with and working to. It feels great if we do, right?... For we can demand for a salary increase and it could be given to us if its necessary... but we can`t demand respect from others... for it should be earned...!

Rain or storm

Due to typhoon Pedring and Quel, swimming for my birthday celebration with my office friends has not come to reality, plus the fact, some of them are not available to come. But, I have always an alternative plan, as always... Alabang is fine!!!

Weather is not good last Saturday, typhoon Quel is roaming around, specially on the north part. But, it doesn`t stop us to have fun and enjoy. And on the sad note... some people who say yes and confirm that they will join, wasn`t able to come, for whatever reason they have... doesn`t matter. ( hihihi )

101 years of GOODNESS

More than to celebrate and to be thankful as my grandmother, Lola Piya celebrates her 101th birthday today. This is really a great blessing for the whole family as she stay strong and healthy.

Lola, Happy birthday, more years to celebrate and stay as healthy as you are now. Your love to us is such a great example. You`ve been our inspiration. Thank you so much for all the goodness that you shared and thought us.

We love you so much. See you soon :-)

My B-day

I bring back the glory and praises to God for the wonderful life He had given me.

What could I ask for more. Yes, my life wasn`t near to perfect, but I would say, I had a great one. I had the best family, my parents raise me well and love me unconditionally. I have my brother and sisters who loves me, and supported me to the best that they could. And I`ve been surrounded by my friends, who are willing to give a hand whenever I need one. My life, had an overflowing love and care from all the people around me. More than enough reason to be thankful.

I`ve been bless with good job. I love my work. I`ve been compensated well. Enough to provide my needs and tolerate my material wants. Allowed me to enjoy and feel content. I meet people, whom I build good relationship, more than a colleagues but become my 2nd Family.

One year is gone, other year to explore, days is not sure, just a promise. But whatever may come, I will embrace it and enjoy my life to the fullest.

Advance Celebration

I always looked forward for my birthday every year. Because it`s the day, when God give me the gift of life. And I have to be thankful and be merry for this gift.

This year, Sept. 27, would fall on Tuesday, since it`s weekday, it`s hard to gather all in one day event, so decided to have an advance celebration with my high school friends and my family. Just a simple get together with them, that I could share my happiness in life, and the blessings that God give me throughout the years of my existence.

We had it last Saturday, and thank you to my Ate Goya for helping me with the preparation, from grocery down to cooking. The whole night celebration was great. I`m really happy, that once more... I was able to celebrate my birthday the way I want it. And I`m so grateful that God allowed me.

Thank you to all my friends, who made it last Saturday. For adjusting your schedules to celebrate with me. I`m so bless that I have you all in my life. Thank you, for your love and care! And thank you for the gift of friendship that I would treasure forever. I love you all...

GT: ORANGE TIME

Personally orange is not my color. Maybe because of my "fair" ( hehe) complexion. But I have this orange jacket. The first time at saw it at the store, I really want to own one, but I don`t have budget that time, so I waited for the payday. Lucky to have it, before it goes out of stock. This is my favorite jacket, very comfortable to wear. And this photo was taken at Baguio in Burnham Park last December.

And of course, if I have white caps last week, and red one last year. I have also orange one on my collection. This one is from an old flame of mine, Ryan ( oh ha! I named him). If I`m not mastaken, he gave it to me, before he finished his contract on the company were worked together before. ( love life trivia )...hehe!

Mhean and Udith

I`m so lucky to have this two ladies as my friend. Mary ann, short for "mhean" and Judith for "udith". We`re friends since highschool, though we have different circle of friends during that time, still we considered ourselves as friends.

Our friendships become more stronger, we become more closer to each this time. This two ladies are very jolly to be with. Every time we`re together,　there is no room for sadness and dull moments. We laugh as if there is no other people around. :-)

GT: WHITE

When it comes to t-shirt I love white. It makes me feel fresh and clean. Though mostly it getting used to mess. And for someone like me, which is too clumsy "sometimes"... I need an extra effort every time I`m in white.

Last year, I shared also here in GT in color RED, my Red cap. Now... as added on my cap collection I have two white caps. One is from my brother-in-law Kuya jr and the other one is from our manager Mr. Nakashima. And, if anyone wants to add on my collection very much appreciated... hehehe

My nephew Louise is a grade two pupil and he maintain his rank to be on the top three of the class. Last month, as Buwan ng Wika has been celebrated, again he was chosen to represent his section on the Oration Contest in their school. He was forced (hehehe) to memorized a tagalog oration piece with 8 stanza. And I`m ( proud tita ) the one who trained him on how to deliver his piece. Though, he didn`t bring home the bacon. He still the winner for me.

Past weeks, I`m emotionally disturb... hehehe! So, to blow away the bad vibes I decided to have a little change in my looks... just for one day, and also since we`re going to have our family day in the company. I should feel good, enjoy and have fun.

One day change on my hair... this is my first time to be curly ;-) ... and I feel so gorgeous in my new look. Picture of being refresh and I love it.
