Office Mesh

I have been working in my present company for more than a year, and today is the first time I feel so upset with someone. Yes, I would admit that I have also lots of flaws being an associate, being a person… but this morning I'm really annoyed, because one person is complaining on small stuff like just it’s going to kill him… the situation proves that it’s so hard to work with someone who has different principle in life among the rest, even as much as possible you want to understand them, there is always a point wherein you will lose your control and give up, it’s not that you don’t want to understand but you come to this point wherein you don’t know where the hell or part of this world you will get those “WORDS” of understanding them… this kind of person belongs to those people who are making small things “TOO MUCH COMPLICATED” ggrrrhhhhh.

Working within the group, there is no problem with complaining, especially if there is a valid reason for it, but please try to weigh or comprehend first on the situation or on the problem, if it’s just a small, please common!!!... or even huge one… don’t react to much as if it's sucking you off, and pin point people to blame, coz it can’t help to solve the problem you’re into. Instead of reacting first, why don’t think first for a relevant solution. If you can’t make it with yourself alone you can ask help from other members. Remember you’re working as a team. So definitely you can solve the problem as a team. Then after that, it’s time for you react, brought out all your issues and complain address it directly to the right person or relay it to every members if necessary, for that you can talk all about it and do some counter measures for it not to happened again. Another thing is… please watch your words and actions, those words and actions can make things more complicated as well as make a difference of having a good career .

Also, be professional enough… you can speak but you need also to listen, after the talk no hurt aches, no personal issues, it’s all pure business and work. That after an office hours, you all folks can hang-out together, find place to relax after a tiring day.

TGIF to everyone, and Happy long weekend... ^_^

GT: The great debaters

Movie to watch with your enemy??? Who knows, may be with this, PEACE will come along the way... I really think about this one... and sorry if it's not suited, it's a 2007 movie of Denzel Washington, but I really want to share this movie to everyone, 'coz it's one of my favorite... ^_^

Movie Synopsis:

Believe in the power of words.
From two-time Academy Award winner Denzel Washington and an ensemble cast lead by Washington that includes Academy Award winner Forest Whitaker, comes THE GREAT DEBATERS. Inspired by a true story, THE GREAT DEBATERS chronicles the journey of Professor Melvin Tolson (Denzel Washington), a brilliant, but volatile, debate team coach who uses the power of words to shape a group of underdog students from a small African American college (Wiley College) in the deep south into a historically elite debate team. A controversial figure, Professor Tolson challenged the social mores of the time and was under constant fire for his unconventional and ferocious teaching methods as well as his radical political views. Marshall, Texas, described by James Farmer, Jr. as "the last city to surrender after the Civil War," is home to Wiley College, where, in 1935-36, inspired by the Harlem Renaissance and his clandestine work as a union organizer, the debate team to a nearly-undefeated season that sees the first debate between U.S. students from white and Negro colleges and ends with an invitation to face Harvard University's national champions. The team of four, which includes a female student and a very young James Farmer, is tested in a crucible heated by Jim Crow, sexism, a lynch mob, an arrest and near riot, a love affair, jealousy, and a national radio audience.

One more thing... I really love Denzel Washington Best actor and Best Director ever... hehehehe

Night shift...

Here we go with the shifting schedules at work... huhuh... days are too fast and it's now... August 16,2010, gggrrhhh!!!

Although it's not my first time to be on the shifting schedules. In my previous company I already experience it... but we're on a monthly basis shifting, i can handle to be on the night shift for straight of three months, just to cope with the morning schedules that i have in my life... hehehhe (yah... I'm a super girl), now it's a weekly basis, wow... i'm not used to it, for sure I really need more adjustments especially on my bed time mood... hayyyssT... tsk...tsk...tsk!!!

For almost one year and three months, I work for a normal time, 7:30 am -5:25 pm, I really enjoy this kind of schedule, i can hang-out after office but still have enough time to rest and have a good mood for the following day... but to pursue the company plan for expansion and development, we have to go with this change of work schedule. 8:00 am - 5:55 pm this is the morning shift and 5:25 pm - 3:20 am, is the night shift... quite different on the shifting schedule that i'm used to before...

But this is it... i know i can cope up with this, just a little motivation on myself... hehehe. Maybe a cup of coffee would be good, since beer in not allowed... hahaha

Goodluck to the pretty ME... @_@

R&D bonding

We talked about it a month ago… no proper planning and preparation being done, but the day has come, August 13, 2010 and we made it… “We really had a great time”.

This is the first F-tech outing supposedly, GA and R&D associates will go together to have fun and bonding, because R&D associates will be separated due to shifting schedule will start next week, but it’s not an official company activities that we have, it’s just our own plan… but due to some reasons and circumstances… the outing ended with the R&D group only. Sorry, to Ms. Ferry, I know your to much excited to this... but... maybe we still have next time, prayers for your nephew, he will get well soon...

Ms. Angel, Ms. Mizpah, Sir Gelo, Sir TJ, Sir Ian and myself, (except for sir Eric, Sir Jun and our two Japanese big boss because they are special guests… hehehe) we’re six left to pursue the outing. Since we’re the group who planned for this, we are entitled for the expenses and budgeting… and this is the most exciting part, as much as possible we’re trying to lessen the expenses for us to have less contributions, (sorry mga kuripot kami eh!!!) but the fact that we’re just six head left we have to contribute more than to what we have planned and expected… heheheh, we’re all saying … “yes, guys we can make it”… motivating ourselves due to the budget that we have, we’re too desperate to make this outing fun and successful, we try to ask some donations from our friends from the other group… huhuhu!!!

5:25 PM come, chime is on the air… this is it… huuhh!!! A little worries inside but too much excited. Our service is Sir gelo’s car and he is also our driver… wow, great driving huh… this is one thing I will never forget in this event … when our great driver, cut between the two big bus on the expressway with the speed of 100kph, grrhhhh… we’re too close to heaven, I feel my soul was left behind… (I really scream... friday the 13th pa naman) thanks God, bus didn't hit us… We drop by first on Walter mart to buy utensils; our too boss come with us… the “buy” become “grocery galore” hhehehe, thank you to our President for the grocery… we have lots of foods and drinks …

Time to looked for the venue… it’s already past 7:00 pm we’re still on the road looking for a private pool, first spot… 3K,swimming pool still no water, grrhhh!!! Everyone is hungry… but still the excitement is there, we’re having an adventure… 2nd spot… 5k, place was good, but too expensive for us, not within our budget… 3rd spot, 3.5k, good place also, sir ian try to negotiate, ok… closed deal to 3k… but upsss ,one voice speak up… “No, I want the other one”… “Sir, that one is too expensive, it’s ok here”… “No, I’ll pay”…… wooow!!!! Angels singing on the air… Glory to God… we’re so blessed and Lucky.

Foods, drinks, videoke, billiards, and swimming pool… hayyyy… really had a great time, everyone is enjoying… we had a best bonding together… as a co-associates and friends, between the boss and the subordinates …we talked everything on the water without hesitations and awkward feeling to one another…

Indeed, the outing was successful, Thank you so much, to our President and to our EMG for shouldering all the expenses, it’s our pleasure to have a bonding with you. To sir Jun, for the best too spicy sisig, I love it… to Sir Eric, for coming with us, in spite of the family schedule that you have… you’re the best, to our two senior engineer, Ms. Mizpah and Sir Ian, for the food that you shared, two thumbs ups and to rest of the guys, thanks for the shared “chikas”, laughter and fun…(*_*)

To all of us, goodluck to our new shift schedules… let’s try to look for the brighter side of everything that we do… don’t forget to enjoy life even in a busy day!!! Chill… ^-^

Ten Qualities of Good Employee

In our country now, we have a high rate of unemployment, to looked for a job is difficult, competition are stiff among others. Every company, no matter what position, field and profession, good or valuable employee are always in demand. Hiring is risky, people that are going to be hired will play a rule in the progress of the company. That is why, employers are too keen in choosing people to hired. They are not just looking after with the skills and talents that an individual possess but also the attitude and character of a person.

Last Monday, we welcome our new seven associates, they are all fresh graduates and majority to them don't have work experience yet. Being a first timer on the job, I know that anxious  feeling inside... the pressure, the expectations and the other do's and don'ts.... lolz

I read some articles about being a "good employee"... characters that an employer desire in their employees, to be a good and effective partner in the business.

1. Listening to instruction : It is human nature to speak and react first, then listen later (if at all). Rather than taking the time to consider the circumstances of any given situation, people tend to rush to judgment. Carefully listening to instructions will reduce mistakes and prevent accidents. It also shows respect to those attempting to guide you.

2.Taking responsibility: Unfortunately, many (if not most) employees do just enough work to get by—just enough to justify receiving a wage. This can be seen in today’s mass-produced products, which do not reflect the quality and care of individual craftsmanship.Avoid “tunnel vision”—focusing on your job and your job alone. Instead, be aware of the responsibilities of your co-workers and recognize how your duties affect their workload. When things go wrong, most people will follow their human nature and shift the blame to others. Yet, valuable employees are not afraid to take responsibility for their actions.

3. Taking initiative: Generally, there are two types of workers—those who wait to be told what to do, and those who think things through and keep busy by constantly finding tasks that need performing. There is a saying that goes like this: “Give a busy man more work, as it is likely to be done efficiently.” Those who show initiative—who hunt for ways to solve problems, to improve things, and to be more efficient—are most likely to be given more responsibility—even a promotion.

4. Giving credit to others: Just as people tend to point their fingers at others when things go wrong, these same people will take credit for the good work of others. That is a sad fact of life, yet so true. Practice giving credit to others. Whenever you are complimented for a job well done, always share the spotlight with those who helped you succeed. This will improve and strengthen morale among your fellow employees. It will also build trust among them, for they will be confident that you will look out and speak up for them, especially when no one else will.

5. Being responsive: When someone addresses you, kindly respond. Let that person know that you heard him.Responding to people is just another way of showing them that they matter.

6. Performing your duties cheerfully:Consider: All jobs and professions have at least one thing in common—their purpose is to solve problems. The greater and more complex the problems, the greater the demand and the higher the income for the positions needed to solve them.If everyone kept this in mind, they would appreciate why they were hired in the first place, and the workplace would be a more pleasant environment.

7. Being dependable: Supervisors can tell you horror stories about employees who habitually call in sick or arrive late. By your actions, show people that they can depend on you, and that you keep your commitments. Arrive to work on time, return phone calls, and perform tasks on time—remember that simple commitments are important, too. In addition, no matter what you are assigned to do, strive to achieve a consistent level of quality and excellence. Be known for performing tasks well all the time.

8. Staying healthy: Whenever an employee is sick and takes time off from work, his co-workers will have to cover for him. If he makes a habit of calling in sick, his fellow workers will start to resent him, and morale will suffer. You can avoid this by simply eating healthy, staying away from junk food, getting plenty of rest, exercising, etc.—in other words, by doing all that you can to prevent sickness.

9.Becoming self-disciplined: Society offers plenty of things to attract our attention—the Internet, television, cell phones, etc. But a good employee is one who stays on track. He doesn’t allow things outside the job to creep in and steal his time, attention and energy from doing what he has been hired to do. He remains focused.

10.Exceeding expectations: Too many workers do only what they are required to do, and nothing more. You can instantly increase your value to the company by going above and beyond what is expected of you, such as being willing to take on duties that others refuse to do.

To our new associates welcome to our world and Goodluck ^_^

Be bored ^_^

Many of us are always busy, with all our responsibilities we're doing everyday... planners are full of daily deadlines we're account to do, that it's to impossible for us to just seat down and do nothing... remember "we are human beings not human doings"

Being bored is not always dreadful, but occasionally it's quite beneficial. So, don't confine yourself not to be bored... I know, it's a little bit weird suggestion, hehehe... but allowing yourself to be bored for just a moment, an hour or less,  it makes you feel relax and at ease. You just need to practice it, 'coz most of us always resist on it, we can't barely stand with it not to do something every second. But if you got to used with it, definitely you will enjoy that sudden moment of being bored... lolz!!!

Generally speaking, it's not about being idle for an hour or being lazy, but learning to relax a little even in the middle or after a tiring day. For we're to anxious to "What's next".  What is good of doing nothing is, it clears our mind, and allows our freedom to "not to know" or "to think" even for just a short period of time. Our mind, is just like our body... it also needs a break from its long and demanding day routine. When we do this, it regenerates our minds capacity and we become more focused...(*_*)

Woman at risk : Cervical Cancer

As a woman , we must be aware of this and must be well informed about this disease before its too late... I agree with " Prevention is better than cure"

What is Cervical cancer?

Cancer of the cervix or cervical cancer begins in the lining of the cervix. Cervix is the lower part of the womb ( uterus). It connects the body of the uterus to the vagina or the birth canal. This most common form of cancer of the female sex organ does not from suddenly, but if it's not detected and treated as early as possible it will attack the tissues of the organ. It will lead to loss of appetite, weight loss, of course being weak and worst is death.

Factors of high risk on Cervical cancer
  1. Early history of sexual contact ( below 18)
  2. Had a first normal delivery at age of 16 or earlier
  3. Engage or having sex with different partners
  4. History of having Human Palillomavirus (HVP) infection
  5. Women from low socio-economic status
  6. Woman who have no opportunities for screening (Pop smear)
  7. Exposure before birth to the drug diethylstilbestrol (DES), smoking, and immunodeficiency.
The most common symptom of cancer of the cervix is abnormal bleeding. Cancer of the cervix can be diagnosed using a Pap test or other procedures that sample the cervix tissue. Cancer of the cervix requires different treatment than cancer that begins in other parts of the uterus.

Case incidence of the cervical cancer ranges between the ages 35-39 and 60-64 with an average age at 52.2 years. Cervical cancer is preventable because it has a long pre-invasive state. Treatment of the pre-invasive lesion is effective beacuse cytology screening by Pap smear is available.

What is Pap Smear?
A Pap smear or Papnicolaou smear, is a cytology examination used primarily fro prevention or early detection of cancerous and pre-cancerous lesions of the cervix. Its is safe noninvasive, cost effective medical procedure. Its is composed of a cellular material obtained from uterine cervix and is place on a slide. The cells are then specially preserved and sent to a cytopathology laboratory for evaluation.

A gynecologist advises that once a woman or a girl becomes sexually active, Pap smear should be taken yearly. For a woman, without sexual activity, a baseline or initial Pap smear should be done beginning age 35, yearly, then three consecutive yearly smear and the results are normal it can be done every two years, same with the menopausal woman and those whose uterus have been removed (post hysterectomy).

Advises for best result and optimum result of Pap smear:
  1. Do not douche 48 hours before the Pap smear
  2. Do not use vaginal cream week before the Pap smear
  3. Abstain from coitus 24 hours prior to Pap smear
  4. There must be no vaginal bleeding, menses, or discharges from other sources.
  5. There must be no copious vaginal discharge.
When visible lesions on the cervix are suspicious of malignancy or cancer, definitive diagnosis will be done by cervical biopsy.

It`s Doc`s day @_@

What`s up Doc!

How could I forget her, she is my first classmate I get acquainted too during the first day of class when we`re first year, I-faith. She, with is very short, curly??? (kinky) hair, hehehe. Since then we become friends… with her short curly hair, she has this fashion of putting neon color hair clip, not only one but two, sometimes on both sides of her head and sometimes on the same side… lolz! We also share the fun of dancing “CHEERPY CHEERPY CHEERP” together with tinay gamba, Sheila ermino, Julie ann chaio, Julie ann teston, on the ground of SAA wearing a Macarena shorts… heheheh Aside for being always in same section from first year to fourth year, we also belong in same organization… we`re both fullpledge COMers…

But now she`s totally grown up… except for her height ;-)… not just as a lady, but a mom of two pretty cute little angels, yesha and yanna! And aside from being a mom and a wife, she is also a doctor now… a great dentist! Who is she??? She is Dra. Michelle Laganzo-Estellero… but most of us called her Ate Mich.

She is a fighter, a thoughtful friend, funny and pretty cool to be with and lots of adjective to describe her. More birthdays to come... happiness in life to you and to your love ones....

Fact : Life Isn't Fair...

Most of us are clamoring that life to be fair… Sometimes we feel pity to ourselves for having a life so miserable. We tend to complain too much, we talk much about the injustices in our life, “It’s not fair”!!!... which I think it was not meant to be, Life isn’t fair, and it’s true. Maybe not all will agree with me, but accepting this reality is quite beneficial.

What is good about accepting this FACT is, it encourage us to do the very best that we can to what we have. For LIFE is not responsible to make things perfect for us… Our life is what we make it. This FACT also reminds us of everyone’s uniqueness. This FACT helped me to deal with, that not everyone can give a hand all the time and so do I to other people, as well as dealing with my personal fights, when I feel unfairly treatment. It’s always reminds me and wakes me up to reality and put me back on track.

A man of laughter

It`s Dadan`s day!

Let me introduce first who he is.
His name is Jordan Erejias. But we called him Dadan. He as tall???, dark… ehem! And handsome, if someone disagree… buggg!

Since today is his Birthday, I want to give a little present, that perhaps he would love too, and also give him a little discomfort.

He doesn`t joke and talk too much, but he laugh more, hehehe , loz! like everyone is just smiling, but dadan is bwaaahahahah! (*_*). No dull moments when he is around and I guess there is no room for sadness in his life. (here is some evidence… hehehe )

Dadan, I wish you all the best in life, more blessing to come, more happiness, and I hope that we could have more laughter to share.

Sunday reflection

The parable of Rich fool: Luke 12:13-21

Someone in the crowd said to him, 'Teacher, tell my brother to divide the inheritance with me.' Jesus replied, 'Man, who appointed me a judge or an arbiter between you?' Then he said to them, 'Watch out! Be on your guard against all kinds of greed; a man's life does not consist in the abundance of his possessions.' And he told them this parable: 'The ground of a certain rich man produced a good crop. He thought to himself, 'What shall I do? I have no place to store my crops.' 'Then he said, 'This is what I'll do. I will tear down my barns and build bigger ones, and there I will store all my grain and my goods. And I'll say to myself, 'You have plenty of good things laid up for many years. Take life easy; eat, drink and be merry.' ' 'But God said to him, 'You fool! This very night your life will be demanded from you. Then who will get what you have prepared for yourself?' 'This is how it will be with anyone who stores up things for himself but is not rich toward God

Everyone wants to be rich, have a comfortable life. Most of us work so hard to have anything that we want materially. Yes, there no wrong to aim that easy life, Me personally I want it too... But what makes it wrong is, when we make it as the center of our lives. We become more materialistic. We forgot the most important thing in our life, our spiritual being, our relationship to God and to the people around us. Remember , God will not measure what we possess here on earth, but what we have inside within ourselves.

Have nice week everyone ^_^
